Purchasing Supervisor

DescriptionThe Purchasing Supervisor leads
purchasing tactical operations, including purchasing of direct and indirect materials
as well as selection of suppliers on new parts. This role is expected to work
with suppliers, account payables, sourcing and quality to proactively identify
and resolve any concerns. In addition to overseeing purchasing, this role is
expected to make recommendations to improve sourcing safety, productivity and
quality.
Responsibilities
  • Lead
    the team of buyers supporting the Stafford plant, including any
    international buyers supporting remotely
  • Support
    daily gemba walks and production requests for delivery updates, expedites
    and other requests
  • Mentor,
    coach, develop and discipline Stafford buying team
  • Develop
    purchasing processes and procedures with supporting KPI s
  • Develop
    training materials for new buyers as well as to develop existing buyers
  • Develop
    processes and suppliers to achieve or exceed acceptable RDSL levels
  • Resolve
    and implement corrective actions as quality issues arise with purchased
    parts
  • Drive
    new part process for purchasing department
  • Lead
    and support efforts to right size inventory in accordance with 245C
    guidelines and RDSL performance for suppliers and our customers
  • Identify
    potential supplier opportunities for improvement and collaborate with
    sourcing on resolutions, including exiting suppliers, mitigate exposures
    from plant closures or temporary shutdowns, resourcing key parts, cost
    savings potential, etc.
  • Support
    accounting discrepancy resolution, ECN implementations, PFEP analysis and
    changes, and make/ buy decision analysis and recommendations
  • Participate
    in monthly SIOP discussions, safety meetings, quality discussions and
    offer recommendations for improvements
  • Participate
    and lead other projects as identified
Requirements
  • BA/BS
    in business and/or technical related discipline or similar work experience
  • Minimum
    5 to 7 years experience in purchasing, supply chain or similar field
  • Minimum
    2 years experience in supervisory/ management role
  • Experience
    in a lean manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability
    to travel both domestically and internationally, as needed less than 10%
  • Experience
    in SAP preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
