Logistics Technician HR9-00058 Job Purpose
Performs receiving, shipping and general warehouse duties.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Other duties may be assigned.
Receives daily PO's and MRO items into the ERP system.
Schedule & coordinate local & global shipments
File all Electronic Export Information (EEI) for overseas shipments; USe Automated Export System (AES)
Prepare Commercial Invoices; Bill of Ladings, and Shipper's Export Declaration
Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, counts items, weighs, measures, records shortages, rejects damaged items.
Responsible for checking shipments for damage before accepting delivery
Analyzes current shipping procedures and initiates improvements.
Works with teams to complete projects that involve shipping/receiving/inventory.
Maintains inventory of shipping supplies and orders when needed.
Promotes safety in the shipping department and other areas of work.
Operates fork lift truck or uses hand truck.
Insures all customer pickups are handled per procedure and all paperwork is present.
Packages outsource work, requests PO and schedules shipment.
Responsible for counting Raw Material and Tube during cycle counts.
Communicate across all levels of the company.
Any and all other requested duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Experience
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30-50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of one year warehousing, shipping and receiving experience and/or training.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Previous Shipping and Receiving experience.
Exposure to Warehousing and or Logistics.
Mechanical aptitude required.
Working knowledge of Lot, Heat, and Batch Control.
Excel, Word - Intermediate preferred.
Working knowledge of MRP or ERP is a plus.
Detail Oriented
Desired Skills/Experience
Three years coordinating global customer shipments, or equivalent combination of education & experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
