Quality Engineer, CPI (2014856)

Compressor Products International (CPI) designs, manufactures and markets precision-engineered sealing components for reciprocating compressors used in chemical plants, refineries and natural gas processing and transportation facilities.
General Summary and Basic Functions
The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing and facilitating activities with the goal of improving product quality, developing quality systems, reducing scrap and rework, and improving external and internal customer satisfaction. Successful candidate will take a direct hands-on role in helping to identify improvement opportunities, and to lead/facilitate action plans and implementation. Must be able to effectively utilize and influence cross-functional resources to achieve both individual and team goals.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical)
A Minimum of 5 years similar experience
Knowledge and experience of working to ISO: 9001 ? 2008/2015 including writing policies, procedures, and work instructions
Must have ability to teach, coach and train operators and team members on policies, problem solving and enhancement modules
Ability to interact effectively and partner with people at all levels; extremely skilled at developing and working with and through teams; a collaborative hands-on team player results driven and motivated.
Excellent analytical, problem solving/decision making skills; ability to make timely, effective, fact based decisions
Must have excellent computer skills including MS Office & MRP / ERP
Six Sigma experience including a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
Qualified Internal Systems Auditor
ATEX mechanical & electrical knowledge
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
Position Responsibilities:
Oversee the development and maintenance of process improvement planning, design and implementation.
Support and help guide organization through ISO Certification
Prepare and review project proposals and technical reports for improvement projects from internal and external sources.
Direct and implement a Quality Assurance programs that meet or exceed industry standards.
Apply quality system analysis, control plans, process verification/validation plans, validation protocol development, computer-based inspection methods, operator work instructions, process data analysis, and DMAIC
Assist manufacturing sites with the interpretation of quality requirements including verification/validation planning and execution, first production run
Collect, analyzes, and monitors supplier quality data and develop/maintain supplier quality score card.
Perform component level analysis utilizing specifications and drawings
Interfaces with functional owners on internal quality issues and with customers on customer-related issues.
Recommends and facilitates preventive / corrective action as needed.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
