Visual Merchandiser/Display Coordinator/Master Accessorizer

Who we're looking for:
A creative visionary who seeks and finds inspiration in unexpected places. A successful display coordinator will be both dreamer and doer. Our ideal candidate will find magic in the mix - hard and soft, stripes and florals, old and new - and use instinct, strategy and creativity to elevate and maintain 11 high-end d cor showrooms. Also, our Master Accessorizer will be responsible for further accessorizing at client's homes on install days and coordinating with the lead designer on the project.
Min. 5 years relative experience for one (or a combination) of the following:
Interior Design
Visual Merchandising
Accessorizing
Floral Experience
Display/Art Direction
MUST Have:
- Professionalism
- Knowledge and experience with the manipulation of various textiles and materials, as well as a familiarity with power tools, basic construction techniques and wall art installation
- Strong artistic background, preferably with a degree in fine arts, sculptural, design or architecture
- A close familiarity with our customer and brand
- Awareness of home decor trends
- At least a little bit of left-brain: planning, organization,
and communication skills to complete projects on
schedule and partner with the visual and store teams
and designers
- An eye for composition
- The ability to support sales generation through visual
and display emphasis
- Clear communication skills to share your process,
product knowledge and vision with the entire store
- Flexibility working 40
hrs./week (FLEXIBLE hours: i.e.
work late, start late, start early to give room for drive
time, last minute notice)
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to take direction and constructive criticism well
- High Creativity/have a sense of style and design
- Physical ability to move 30
lbs without assistance
- Physical ability to climb up and down stairs, ladders;
not
afraid of heights (reasonable residential heights)
- Initiative; be a self-starter
- Self-motivation
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Multi-tasking skills
- Willingness to clean (i.e. clean mirrors, vacuum, clean
tables, sweep, pick up trash)
- Close attention to detail
- Flexibility to do non job-related tasks
- Fast-paced work ethic
