Costing - if they don't have cost manufacturing experience.
Variance analysis, labor inputs, costs inputs are all buzz words I would look for.
But they MUST have Standard Costing - not Job Costing.

Inventory / physical inventory / cycle counts - monthly/quarterly/year end physical location count for finished good Generic Desc.
The Accountant is responsible for performing cost accounting functions including cost estimating, standard costing, variance analysis, budgeting and financial forecasting Area manufacturing facilities.
Provides key operational decision makers with accurate and timely financial information leading to minimization of cost and the maximization of profitability.
Assists plants in meeting their monthly closing deadlines.
Provides support with ERP -related finance and accounting issues.

Required Minimum
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business or a closely-related related field 5
years experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment with involvement in closing, financial statement preparation, account reconciliation and spreadsheet analysis Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles and use and knowledge of accounting, manufacturing and spreadsheet software Strong attention to detail, analytical ability and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills Highly ethical, self-motivated, professional with the ability to function as part of a team to provide accurate, thorough and timely analyses.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
