Our client in SW Houston is seeking a Director of Hospital Revenue Cycle Management in a hybrid capacity to join their growing team.
The Director of Hospital Revenue Management will be responsible for driving overall operational results, controls and measurements to maximize productivity and client satisfaction.
This role will manage a team of 70
customer collections support (Early Out Services), insurance verification specialists, and 2 team managers in a call center environment.
This position will be responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of the revenue cycle process and be able to present those finding to the Executive management team.
This role will report the VP of Operations.
Duties:
Ensures the daily operations of the department are met and that adequate and appropriate skilled staffing levels to meet performance are in place and ensures that issues are escalated quicklyManages and analyzes/measures AR performance regularly, implementing strategies to optimize billing/collections and reduce to the number of days in AR to its lowest possible level.
Identifies potential problems and opportunities for revenue cycle process improvementAnalyze and provide accurate information for the department's Monthly Operations reportEnsures regulatory compliance to healthcare revenue cycle and company policyMaintains a current working knowledge of all patient financial and healthcare related issues and regulationsUnderstands, follows and enforces all federal, state, and local healthcare requirementsProvides assistance / resolution to external and internal inquiries around patient financial servicesRequirements:
10
years of experience in Medical Revenue Cycle management (Collection processes, Regulatory AR management.
) some of which should be in a call center environment.
5 years' experience as a manager of a medium to large team within the revenue cycle management industry.
Bachelor's degree In a business or related disciplineProven understanding of the AR Management, Collections processes, front and back end registration, authorizations, and billingExcellent communication skills with the ability to make presentations to Sr managementExperience with Ontario systems (Artiva) highly desirableAbility to manage large healthcare accountsIndividuals must be motivated, entrepreneurial, and have the ability to self-manage.
